Q: Am I allowed to bring my own alcohol to the Resort? 

A: Alcohol and Beverage Policy:  All on land banquet facilities do not have the ability to sell alcoholic beverages. We allow you to bring in your own alcohol.  Absolutely No Kegs will be allowed on the property without the use of a Lake Raystown Resort, Lodge & Conference Center Bartender in attendance.

Q: Is the Conference Center ADA accessible?

A: Yes, we have an ADA accessible elevator, parking spaces, and doorways. We also have ADA accessible overnight accommodations. If you require special assistance please let us know – we are here to help.

Q: Is there ample parking at the Conference Center?

A: Yes, there is plenty of parking at the Conference Center at no cost.

Q: What is the cancellation policy for overnight Lodging Accomodations?

A: We do our best to meet our clients needs. Groups can choose to have Lodging held on a Group Master Account at Lake Raystown Resort. If a Group Master List is submitted there is greater flexibility.

Our general cancellation policy for individual reservations is Cancellations received more than 90 days prior to the scheduled arrival will receive an 80% refund, Cancellations received 89-31 days prior to arrival will receive a 50% refund, and Cancellations received within 30 days of arrival or early check-outs will not receive a refund.

Q: Are bed linens and towels included with Rental Units?

A: Our Rental Units DO NOT include towels.  Guests must bring their own bath and beach towels.

Pine Cabin and Appalachian Maple Cabin rentals DO NOT include bed linens. Lake Raystown Resort does offer Linen Packages for $30/length of stay in the Pine Cabins and for $40/length of stay in the Appalachian Cabins. We are happy to provide this service with advance notice of no less than 7 days. Guests can always bring their own bed linens for no additional fee.

Oak Park Cottages, Beachfront Bungalows, Waterfront and Lakeside Villas include all bed linens.

Q: Can I bring my boat? Is there a fee?

A: All registered overnight guests are permitted to bring their boats. Boats can be moored to the shoreline on a first-come-first-served basis – free of charge. Boats can also be stored on their trailers (free of charge) in any of our overflow parking lots.

Overnight boat slips at our Marina are available for $35/night. Reservations are strongly suggested and can be made through our Marina Services Department at extension 176.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: Pets are welcome in the campground as long as they are monitored, cleaned up after, and kept on a leash.

Pets are not permitted inside or around the cabins, cottages, bungalows, villas, lodge rooms or houseboats with the exception of our” Dog Friendly” Pine Cabin (#21).  Please see our Pet Policy for Cabin #21  (attach link to page)

We do not permit pets to be tied or kenneled on the porch or left in vehicles or boats. Guests with pets inside or in the area surrounding their cabins, cottages, bungalows, villas, lodge rooms or houseboats will be evicted without further notice or refund.

Q: Is there a kennel nearby?

A: Yes, BMC Kennels in Huntingdon is about 20 minutes away. Please contact them directly at (814) 643-1499.

Q: Can I arrive earlier than my scheduled check-in time?

A: Guests can arrive at any time throughout the day but guests’ belongings cannot be placed on the porch or inside of their cabin, campsite, or lodge room. Keys to overnight accomodations will not be distributed until the designated check-in time.

Q: What cell phone carriers have reception at the Resort?

A: AT&T/Cingular and Sprint/Nextel are the only carriers that provide service in the Raystown Lake area. There is not a Verizon cellular tower in the area and Verizon service is intermittant.  We plan to have a net extender in service on the main floor of the conference center, however there will be no signal priority, therefore Verizon access inside the building will be limited at best.

Q: How big is Raystown Lake?

A: Raystown Lake, with over 118 miles of shoreline and 8300 acres of water, is the largest lake in Pennsylvania and one of the largest man made lakes east of the Mississippi River.

Q: How much of a deposit is required when I make my reservation?
A: Lake Raystown Resort has a full pre-payment policy at the time of reservation. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. You may also send a money order or Cashier’s Check. Sorry, but we do not accept personal checks.

Q: What is the accommodation cancellation policy?
A: If you cancel more than 90 days prior to your scheduled arrival an 80% refund is offered. Cancellations received between 89-31 days prior to you scheduled arrival will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 30 days prior to arrival no refund will be given.

Q: How many people are permitted to stay at my campsite, cabin, cottage, villa, bungalow or lodge room?
A: Campsite: 6 persons max
All Pine Cabins: 6 persons max
Maple Cabins: 8 persons max
Oak Park Cottages: 7 persons max
Beachfront Bungalows: 6 persons max
Lakeside Villas: 6 persons max
Lodge Rooms: 6 persons max
Lodge Suites: 4 persons max
